Like rock, be formed. Like rock, be patient. 2016 - 2017

With this collection, I thought a lot about rocks; about formation, resistance, growth and evolution. The last couple years have been full of change and it always feels so slow. But with focus, one day at a time, one mark at a time, one step at a time, eventually you look back and realize the amount of change that has actually happened, and how much you’ve grown. You look back, and realize that you've created a story, a texture, a life. I think rocks are like this - they evolve, and form based on the environment around them and resistance that challenges them. They stay true to who they are, but they form and change and evolve slowly. This is creation, and this is growth.
